Several Remember Gaza events are planned for the forthcoming weeks including a candlelit vigil at Churchill Sq on 9th January and a mass demo on the 18th. See Upcoming Events for more info.

Barclay's plc. profit directly from EDO's actions by providing market maker service's for their parent company ITT. Also Barclays are the UK's largest investor in the arms trade.

Today marked the start of Smash EDO's "Target Barclays" campaign with demo's outside branches across the country.

1st-12th Febuary 2010

Chris Osmond "a battle-hardened campaigner who has been in and out of courts" (according to The Guardian anyway) is back in court. This time though, he is the one doing the prosecuting. He is sueing for false arrest, relating to a previous demonstration, and is due to appear at Brighton County Court, William Street every weekday for the next two weeks.

If you want to show solidarity or find out more about the tactics of harassment employed by Sussex Police feel free to come along.

Every Wednesday

Smash EDO holds noise demonstrations every Wednesday outside EDO on Home Farm Road, 4-6pm.

From 17th Febuary 2010 there will be an open meeting at (probably) The Gladstone, Lewes Rd. at 3pm before the demo. Anyone can attend, whether they plan to go to the noise demo or not.

Rita Lynch, The Sylence and Lisa Jayne will perform a benefit gig for the EDO Decomissioners. Cowley Club, London Rd, Brighton. doors 8pm, £4 donation.
