Police, Protesters and Argus readers can relax, the protest has finally ended. Although news is continuing to filter through, the consensus judgement seems to be that of partial success. Over three hundred attended the main protest, many locals learnt about the presence of EDO and the factory was forced to close for the day. However, the war goes on. Innocent people continue to die around the world. Everyday more deaths are reported in Palestine, Afghanistan and beyond. Many more occur and, sadly, remain unreported. Meanwhile EDO/ITT continue to operate in OUR city and continue to profit from these deaths. Once everyone's recovered we will carry on organising, informing, protesting and fighting. We will be here, until they are not.
